Overview
This cable enables the connection of an aftermarket rear view camera to Toyota vehicles equipped with MFD GEN5 or GEN6 multifunctional displays. It provides a Plug&Play installation without damaging the original OEM wiring. The camera image will automatically appear on the screen when reverse gear is engaged.
Connection & Compatibility
Connects to the 20‑pin socket of the head unit.
All OEM devices using this socket remain fully functional after installation.
An additional cable is included for vehicles that:
Lack a reverse activation signal on the monitor, or
Were not originally equipped with rear camera connection functionality.
Important Power Supply Notes
The aftermarket camera must be powered from the ACC line (first key turn); otherwise the camera input will not activate.
Depending on the camera’s voltage requirement:
If the camera works with ≤ 6V, you may use the monitor’s +6V output.
If the camera requires more than 6V, you must connect it directly to the ACC line.
Video format supported: NTSC only.
For models with 20 pin Toyota camera connection only. Depending on the vehicle and equipment, the adapter provides the video signal RCA, a power supply +6V/ground for the OEM camera and the +12V revere gear signal or this must be connected in the vehicle.
Before installation check the correct assignment of the adapter to the OEM connector.
